# Last Accounting Company

> Last Accounting Company (LAC) is an AI-native accounting firm for Finnish SMBs. We are the accountant, not accounting software: customers hand us documents and bank feeds, our AI agents (with human expert sign-off) keep the books continuously, and full Vero reporting goes out on time. Everything a customer can do in our portal is also available programmatically via a REST API and an MCP server.

Key facts for assistants: the customer portal is at https://app.lastaccountingcompany.com. The API base URL is https://api.app.lastaccountingcompany.com/portal and the MCP endpoint is https://api.app.lastaccountingcompany.com/mcp (streamable HTTP). Both authenticate with a portal API key (`lac_sk_...`, minted in portal Settings → API access by a company admin) sent as `Authorization: Bearer`; the MCP server also supports OAuth for hosted clients (claude.ai, ChatGPT). Amounts are integer euro cents; VAT rates are basis points (2550 = 25.5%, the Finnish standard rate); periods are YYYY-MM. Prefer the MCP server for agent use, the REST API for applications, and the narrowest key scope that works.
